London, UK – November 29, 2025 – Warri Progressive Society Alias Otonloye, UK Branch, successfully hosted its End-of-Year Party and Awards Ceremony, bringing together members and their families to celebrate a year of significant progress, unity and shared cultural heritage.
The glittering event served as a dual celebration: marking the accomplishments of 2025 and paying tribute to the enduring pillars of the association.
Honouring Our Elders
A highlight of the evening was the prestigious awards presentation, where the branch recognised members for their dedication and service. A particularly moving moment came with the induction of some of our cherished elders into the rank of Life Peer, honouring their profound wisdom and contributions to the association.
“Tonight is about honouring the legacy that sustains us,” stated Mr. Princewell Omagbemi (Olaga). “The strength of Otonloye lies in the hands of both our youth and our elders. We are profoundly grateful for the guidance and experience of those who paved the way.”
Recognising Dedication and Service
Beyond the Life Peer awards, several members were recognised for their tireless work throughout the year across various committees, including the Welfare Team and the newly invigorated Cultural Arm.
